The melody of fingers tapping away at laptop keyboards reverberates throughout BasBlue, the Detroit nonprofit social club and coworking space for women and nonbinary professionals.

There’s chatter behind the doors of conference rooms and hushed voices coming from telephone booths. There might be a sound system at the Ferry Street Victorian mansion, but the real background music is the sound of female entrepreneurs building their businesses and advancing their careers.
