The next chapter in the more than 25-year history of Avalon International Breads begins this week when the business' new location opens in Midtown Detroit. After 25 years on Willis Street, Avalon is set to open at 7 a.m. Wednesday inside the Jolly Pumpkin space at 441 Canfield St. in Midtown Detroit.
